Minnie Stoltenberg was born April 21, 1861, and passed away January 26, 1938 at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 5 days. The daughter of Washington county pioneers, she was born in a log cabin built by her father, the late Paul Stoltenberg, on what is now known as the Dora Klindt farm. She was married to William Kruse April 13, 1881. To this union were born six sons and two daughters. They lived on a farm southwest of Fort Calhoun until December, 1915 when they retired to town, where her husband preceded her in death on June 30, 1921.
