Albert L. Staples, of St. Louis, Missouri, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. McConnaha, of Herman, died very suddenly September 21st, while visiting a friend at Rolla, Missouri. The body was brought to Tekamah, and the funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon in the Methodist church, Rev. D.A. McCullough, the pastor of the Tekamah church and Rev. C.C. Norlin, pastor of the Herman church had charge of the services, burial in the Tekamah cemetery. Albert L. Staples was born near Eldon, Missouri 39 years ago. He was married to Miss Elizabeth McConnaha in 1923. His wife and little daughter, Mary Helen, age 5, one brother and one sister, his stepmother and a number of other relatives are left to mourn his death.
