RITES IN TEKAMAH FOR DAN FARRENS

Funeral services were held Monday, April 20, at Hamel and Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah for Daniel Farrens, a former Tekamah business man. Mr. Farrens died April 15 at Lewiston, Idaho.

The Rev. Herman Frerichs officiated at the services. Mrs. Paula Morrow was soloist and Mrs. Arthur Morrow organist.

Robert Daniel Farrens was born February 28, 1928, at Tekamah. His parents were Gladys Elliott and James Harry Farrens.

He graduated from Tekamah High School and attended Dana College in Blair. He served in the Coast Guard for two years.

He was married to Libby Robinson of Blair and they made their home in Tekamah and Blair. Mr. Farrens operated a shoe store in Tekamah a number of years ago.

Mr. Farrens is survived by two children, Jane and Robert Daniel, both of Martinez, Ga.; his mother, Gladys Farrens of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, James Grant Farrens of Phoenix and William Lloyd Farrens of Tucson, Ariz., and a sister, Mrs. Chester (Carolyn) Watkins of Tekamah.

Pallbearers were Van Newell, Robert Ray, Robert Tobin, Raymond Simpson, Neil Connealy and Duane Chamberlain.

Burial was in Tekamah Cemetery.
