Nels Mathiesen, aged 65 years, one of the pioneer laundry men of Omaha and a resident of this city for thirty-six years, died Wednesday at the home of his son, 320 North Thirty-fifth Street. He had been ailing for the past five months with heart trouble, but it was only ten days ago that his ailment became serious. Mr. Mathiesen is survived by one son, Fred, who is treasurer and manager of the Sanitary Wet Wash company, and one daughter, Mrs. Howard J. Farmer, of Seattle. Mr. Mathisen for two years was the proprietor of a laundry in Blair. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the N.P. Swanson chapel, Seventeenth and Cuming street, the Rev. Andrew Anderson, of Blair, officiating. Burial was held in the Forest Lawn cemetery.-World Herald
