#1-3 June, 1908 - The Pilot - Lauritz “Lars” Anderson Beck

Lauritz Anderson Beck died at the home of his son, Hans Winter Larsen, at 8:30 last Friday evening of paralysis at the age of 83 years. The funeral was held at the house at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Rev. Jesse B. Burkhardt officiating. Mr. Beck was a native of Denmark, coming to this country in 1884, shortly after the death of his wife. He lived in California for about eighteen years, and since that time has lived with his sons. He leaves two sons, E. V. of Creighton, Neb., Hans W. of this city, and two daughters, Mrs. A. M. Larson of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Peter Nielsen of Ribe, Denmark. #2-Published in Blair Democrat on 4 June 1908

DIES AT EIGHTY-THREE

Lars Beck died at the home of his son, Hans Winder Larsen, in this city last Friday evening and the funeral was held Sunday afternoon, Rev. Jesse B. Burkhardt, of the Congregational church, officiating.

Deceased was born in Denmark eighty-three years ago and came to America twenty-five years ago, locating in California, where he spent the majority of his time. About three years ago he came to Blair to make his home with his son. Besides his son in Blair he had a son living at Creighton, Nebraska, A.V. Larsen, who came down Sunday to attend the funeral.
