McEvers, Arthur, Jr., almost 2

Burial in Blair Cemetery

Published in Blair Democrat on 10 August 1916

Little Arthur McEvers, Jr., a baby boy nearing two years of age, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McEvers, of Omaha, and the body was shipped to Blair and the funeral services held at the L.D.S. church, Friday afternoon, and the little one laid to rest in the McEvers lot in the Blair cemetery. The services were in charge of Elder J.I. Case, traveling missionary of the Latter Day Saints church for eastern Nebraska, and he gave a most comforting discourse for the bereaved relatives. The L.D.S. choir furnished the music and Mrs. Orsa Jensen sang the solo, "Abide With Me," with Miss Ethel Mead at the organ. The little white casket was banked by beautiful floral offerings and, as the sun was setting in the west, the little one was tenderly laid to rest, deeply mourned by the sorrowing parents and friends.
