Earl “Pat” Frost, 78

Earl “Pat” Frost, son of George and Anna Eicke Frost, was born October 8, 1912, on a farm north of Waterloo.

On September 5, 1934, Pat married Irma Frye in Omaha. They had six daughters: Carol, Patricia, Kay, Diane, Myma and Ginni.

Pat farmed in Douglas County for 10 years before moving to Omaha to begin Frost Excavating. Pat worked in excavating for 31 years before retiring.

Pat and Irma spent their retirement years traveling, spending winters in Mesa, Arizona, and summers on the farm near Bennington.

In 1990, Pat and Irma moved to Bennington. His favorite pastimes were his family, traveling, paying cards, horseshoes and pool.

He was preceded in death by daughters Patricia Lambert and Diane, and grandson Randy Lambert.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Irma; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bill Sass of Sun Lakes, Arizona; Kay and Dean Johns, Myra and Don Laaker, all of Bennington; Ginni and Norm Nelson of Elkhorn, Phyl and Cliff Lambert of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, brother Leroy Frost of Omaha, and sister Lora Sass of Bennington.

Services were held September 10, 1991, at Jaynes Street Community Church in Omaha with Pastor Scott Ross officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by daughters, Diane Lee and Patricia Lambert and a grandson, Randy Lambert.

He is survived by his wife, Irma; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bill Sass, Sun Lakes, Arizona; Kay and Dean Johns, Myrna and Don Laaker, all of Bennington; Ginni and Norman Nelson, Elkhorn and Phyliss and Clifford Lambert, Omaha; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Frost, Omaha and a sister, Lora Sass of Bennington.

Haden-Golden Mortuary in Bennington is in charge of arrangements.
