Lloyd E. Snow—Lloyd was born June 19, 1924 at Lebanon, Missouri, the son of Clarence and Elva May (Edwards) Snow. He moved with his family to Burt County, Nebraska where they farmed between Decatur and Tekamah. He married Rosamond Robinson in 1947. In 1952, the couple moved to Castana where he farmed. Rosamond died October, 1970. July 27, 1984, he married Darlene Mauch.

He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church at Mapleton. Music was an important part of his life. He was a talented musician and his name is listed as Folk Musician at Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Castana; a son and his wife, Ed and Sara Snow of Mapleton; three stepsons and their wives, Marvin and Linda Mauch of Anthon, IA, David and Nancy Mauch of Mapleton and Steven and Penny Mauch of Scranton, IA; four step-daughters, Becky and her husband Tracy Smizer of Anthon, IA, Colleen and her husband Paul Owens of Scranton, IA, Lori Gosch of Scranton, IA and Tina and her husband Matthew Habeger of Lawton, IA; twenty-six step-grandchildren; eighteen great-step-grandchildren; a brother, Wilbur Snow of Decatur, NE and three sisters, LaVaughn and her husband, Clarence Brosam, Norma Kay and Donna and her husband Gerald Kobs, all of Blair, NE and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parent; his wife, Rosamond and a brother-in-law, Howard Kay.

Casket Bearers: Bob Barker, Roger Snow, Larry Farrens, Daniel Mauch, Brandon Gosch, Ryan Mauch

Honorary Bearers: Adair Kaehlar, Jerry Kessler, Dwight Lamb, Louis Aitken, Lynn Holsclaw

Interment Kennebec Cemetery, Castana, Iowa

Arrangements by Rush Family Care Service, Castana, Iowa.
