Seek Iowa Relatives of Nebraska Pauper

Shenandoah, Ia., Nov. 30 (Special) - - The body of J. A. Jewell, who died friendless in the Dodge county home, Fremont, Neb., Sunday, is being held while G.A.R. and American Legion members are searching for relative. His father, Whitney Jewell, was G.A.R. commander at Shenandoah for many years.

Seek Relatives Of Strange Old Man

Fremont Neb., Dec 2--Friends and officials, have been unable to find trace of relatives of J. A. Jewell, 83,"strange old man" who lived for many years alone in a cottage at Ames. A few months ago he was brought to the county farm. Jewell was reputed to be connected with a well to do family at Shenandoah, Ia., but none of his relatives ever appeared here. He died suddenly at the farm this week.
