Bernice E. Frye, 87

Bernice E. Frye, 87, of Arlington, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at the A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 5, at the Arlington Community Church. Interment was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Bernice E. Frye was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Arlington to John and Alma (Olson) Hansen. She lived all her life in the Arlington area until moving to Fremont in 2003. She worked part-time at Marshall Nurseries in Arlington for 20 years.

On April 3, 1937, she married Henry J. Frye in Blair.

Mrs. Frye was a member of the Arlington Community Church, and the church circle.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James M. and Virginia Frye of West Point, and Roger and Eva Frye of Rapid City, S.D.; brother, Milford Hansen of St. Charles, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Bernice Hansen and Betty Frye, both of Arlington; brother-in-law, Clifford Johnson of West Point; five granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in September 1993; son, Jerry; three brothers, Chester, John and Harold Hansen; five sisters, Lois Christensen, Leone and Marion Johnson, Helen Slatt, and an infant, Nina Mae Hansen.

Memorials are suggested to the Arlington Community Church.
