Carol Frye

Services for Carol C. “Perk” Frye, 75, of Blair, who died Tuesday, April 29, 1986, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital, will be held Friday, May 2, 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Warrick will officiate and burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Frye was born December 22, 1910, the son of Casper and Emily Frye of Tekamah.

He married Ethel Vaughn on December 19, 1938 in Omaha. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Blair; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Carol) Schmidt of Blair; one sister, Mrs. Lylith (Dot) Standeford of Venita, Oregon; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Organist will be Gracie Husk.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.

“Perk” was born by Herman, Nebraska, on December 22, 1910, to Cass and Emily Frye. He farmed for several years and was employed at Blair Manufacturing Company for 21 years.

He was married to Ethel Vaughn on December 19, 1938, in Omaha, who survives him. Also a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Carol) Schmidt, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one sister, Dot Standeford of Veneta, Oregon.

Pallbearers were Dale (Lefty) Robinson, William Thompson, Chester Wiese, George Green, Eugene Husk and Fred (Buss) Gilliland.
