MRS. L. P. SKOV DIES FOLLOWING SHOCK OF FALL

Following a heart attack of the past three weeks which was aggravated by a fall last Sunday which resulted in a broken arm, Mrs. L. P. Skov was rushed to the Immanuel hospital in Omaha where she passed away Tuesday, December 28, at 6 o’clock p.m.

Mrs. Skov as Bodil Christene Jacobsen was born in Denmark in 1862 and in 1889 came to this country and to Washington county. The same year she was married to L.P. Skov, the ceremony being performed in Blair, and they immediately took up their residence on a farm just north of Spiker.

Here five children came to make their home complete. Four of these, with the devoted husband, survive. They are Mrs. Soren P. Jensen and Victor Skov and Alfred Skov, all of Herman, and Mrs. C. W. Christensen of Blair, who grieve deeply the loss of their dear one. Besides these already named, one sister living in Denmark and one brother living in South Dakota still survive.

Mr. and Mrs. Skov have been residents of Blair for the past ten years, having moved here directly from the farm where they went directly following their marriage. During that ten years they have made many friends who know them for their sterling qualities and for the high moral qualities which they have always adhered to.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Friday, from the First Lutheran church of Blair, and interment will be made in the Orum cemetery with Rev. James Lund officiating.
