Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel for Ethel C. Frye, 77, of Blair, who died July 18, 1995, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Ethel C. Frye was born December 27, 1917, in Herman to Jasper and Rose Colgan Vaughn. She attended school in Tekamah.

She married Carol “Perk” Frye in Omaha on December 19, 1938. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1986.

She worked as a waitress and house cleaner. She also worked at Wilkinson Manufacturing in Fort Calhoun.

She was a member of the Blair Eagles.

In addition to her husband, Carol, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Erma Kruse.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Elmer Schmidt of Blair; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; a sister, Pat Comstock of Blair and two brothers, Leo Vaughn of Tekamah and Floyd Vaughn of Blair.
