COUNTY YOUTH KILLED WHEN ENSILAGE CUTTER BREAKS

Peculiar Accident Results Fatally, Family are Early Settlers

YOUTH 22 YEARS OLD

Arthur Howard Jorgensen of the Garryowen neighborhood in the southeastern part of the county died last Saturday at 2:30 p.m. following an accident which occurred at 10:30 in the morning.

Arthur and his brother, Martin, Jr., had been filling a silo and were running an ensilage cutter which, according to reports, exploded and a portion of it struck Arthur in the temple, seriously wounding him. A physician was immediately called, but from the first it was evident that the injury was fatal, and he passed away at 2:30 in the afternoon.

Deceased was twenty two years of age and unmarried and youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jorgensen. He was born and reared on the farm on which he died.

Besides the aged parents, he leaves five sisters: Mrs. Christine Boone and Mrs. Goldie Holmquist, both of Florence; Mrs. Frieda Bizarre and Mrs. Edna Boone of Omaha and Mrs. Amanda Hanna of Omaha and two brothers, Axel Jorgensen of Florence and Martin, Jr. on the farm.

He was a member of the Koontz Memorial church, from which place funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, and interment was made in the Springwell cemetery in Omaha.
