FORMER ARLINGTON MAN PASSES AWAY

Otto Mastick of Arlington received word of the death of his brother in law, Allen L. Hewitt of 262 Parnell avenue, Los Angeles, California, who died on August 26 of complications from a severe heart ailment of three years' duration.

Mr. Hewitt was born on December 7, 1870 on a farm near Hooper, and received his education in Fremont. He was a resident of Arlington a number of years ago when he was depot agent. In California Mr. Hewitt was associated with the Janss Investment co. of Los Angeles for the past 12 years, and previous to that he was connected with the C.& N.W. railroad in Nebraska and South Dakota, and in Rapid City with the Rapid City Black Hills and the Western railroad. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Catherine, and two sons, all of Los Angeles.
