JENS CHRISTENSEN

Jens Christensen, a resident of Washington county since 1887, died Friday, August 27, at the age of 78 years and 8 months.

Deceased was born in Denmark December 27, 1857, and came to this county in 1887. He was married to Miss Serene Hansen December 2, 1891, and to them five children were born. His wife and two children preceded him in death.

He was a man held in high respect by those who knew him. He was a good citizen, and was strictly honest in his dealings with his fellow men. He was a member of the Danish Lutheran church and the Danish Brotherhood lodge, and he lived up to the precepts of his church and lodge.

He leaves to mourn his death three children: Hans of Tekamah; Margaret Larsen of Herman and Alfred at home.

Find a Grave Memorial #109719587 The funeral rites were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Bendorf funeral Home with Rev. T. J. Reese officiating, and interment was made in the Thone cemetery.
