HANS W. LARSEN DIES IN OREGON

Hans Winter Larsen, who left Blair about fifteen years ago for Portland, Oregon died July 31 at the St. Vincents hospital in that city after an illness of eighteen days’ duration.

He had for years suffered from gall bladder trouble and the hardening of the arteries. Funeral rites were held August 3rd in Portland.

Mr. Larsen was, for a long term of years, a resident of Blair. He was a brick mason and contractor, and many of Blair’s buildings are the results of his handiwork.

He was a great lover of sports and rarely missed a ball game, and after going to Portland he evinced the same tendencies and his presence was expected by the boys.

His wife died some time back, and his declining years were lonely, and he often spoke of his old friends in Blair.

To make the sentiment for Blair more complete, Dr. Driver, a pioneer preacher of this county, who also lives in Portland, delivered the funeral sermon.

Many Blair people still remember Hans Winter Larsen and family, and will feel sorry over his death.
