FREDRICK NIPP PASSES AWAY

Fredrick Josias Nipp, son of Mrs. M. Nipp, passed away Tuesday evening, July 27th, at 7 p.m. at Ida Grove, Iowa.

Deceased was born September 3rd, 1903 at Florence, Nebraska where he lived seven years. He moved to Bennington with his mother and sister and grandparents in 1912 where he lived on a farm until 1933. He then moved to a farm west of Blair, Nebraska where he lived four years.

He was educated in the Douglas county schools. Deceased was baptized December 20th, 1903 at the St. John Lutheran church in Bennington by Rev. Richter. He was employed on a dairy farm by Harry Ervey for seven months. After being home for 9 days he decided to go to Ida Grove, Iowa where he worked for a farmer named Hans Kuhl where he had worked almost two months.

Mr. Nipp passed away at the age of 33 years, 11 months and 6 days. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary M. Nipp, one sister, Amelia and uncle and aunts. He was a young man of good habits and was well liked by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all his relatives and friends. His sudden and mournful death was a sad shock to the family. His mother and sister, uncle and aunts with whom he lived and had his home will deeply mourn his death. Funeral services were held Friday morning at 10 o’clock at his home west of Blair, Rev. Goede, pastor of the German Lutheran church of Bennington officiating. Burial was made in the German cemetery north of Bennington. Pallbearers were Henry wiese, William Wilke, John Schmidt, Arnold Schmidt of Bennington, Lucus Geegan and Clifford Jensen of Blair.
