EARLY SETTLER BURIED MONDAY

Mrs. Daisy Brown of Omaha was brought to Blair Monday where she was buried in the Blair cemetery.

But few of the present Blair inhabitants will remember Mrs. Brown, or as she was known as Daisy Lee, when she resided in Blair back in the eighties.

At the time of her residence here her father, Daniel Lee, was employed in the horse collar factory conducted by Jake Wambold and W. A. Bennett, and after the plant burned in the nineties the family moved away.

While residing here their home was located just east of the present site of the Eat Shop. There was a large family of them, and the younger people were quite popular socially.

Mrs. Brown died at her home in Omaha, and interment was made in the family lot in Blair where four other members of the family are buried.

Note: The Blair Burial records may have the name spelled incorrectly (Browne). The Vig Files at the Danish American Archives has her name Daisy Mable Lee Brown.
