RITES HELD FOR VICTIM OF AUTO, TRUCK CRASH

Victim of Automobile Accident of Wednesday, July 14th

Victor Williams died July 16, 1937. His death was the result of an automobile accident which occurred on the night of July 14th on Highway 73 midway between Blair and Herman when the car in which he and Harry Tyson were riding collided with a truck from Oakland.

Deceased was born May 13, 1893 at Omaha, and was educated in the Omaha schools and resided there until five years ago when he moved to a farm east of Herman.

On July 11, 1918 he was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Petersen of Omaha, and to this union was born four daughters, Dorothy Mae, Betty Clarice, Rita Victoria and Joyce Ellen. These, with the wife and two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Boisen of Omaha and Mrs. Albert Hoot of Kingman, Arizona and two brothers, Edward R. of Kingman, Arizona and Benson of Hollywood, California, are left to mourn his departure.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Lutheran church with Rev. J. P. Nielsen officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

FATALLY INJURED JULY 14 IN AUTO-TRUCK CRASH NEAR THIS CITY

FOUR DAUGHTERS, WIDOW SURVIVE

HAD BEEN FARMER EAST OF HERMAN FOR PAST FIVE YEARS AFTER MOVING HERE FROM OMAHA; WAS 44 YEARS OF AGE AT TIME OF DEATH.

Fatally injured in an automobile-truck crash on Highway 73 three miles north of Blair the night of July 14, Victor Williams, 44, farmer east of Herman, died last Friday, July 16 at Immanuel hospital in Omaha, where he had been taken after an examination at Court View Hospital here.

Rites for Mr. Williams were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the First Lutheran church, with Rev. J.P. Nielsen, head of Trinity Theological seminary officiating. Rev. Mr. Nielsen was called upon to officiate in absence of Rev. Verner Carlsen, a friend of Mr. Williams and pastor of the neighborhood church.

Surviving Mr. Williams are his widow and four daughters. They are Dorothy May, Betty Clarice, Rita Victoria and Joyce Ellen. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Boisen of Omaha and Mrs. Albert Goot of Kingman, Ariz., and two brothers, Edward R. Williams of Kingman, and Benson Williams of Hollywood.

Mr. Williams was born May 13, 1893, at Omaha and lived there until five years ago, when he moved onto the farm east of Herman that had been his home since. He was married June 11, 1918, to Miss Margaret Ann Petersen of Omaha.
