#1-1 July, 1937 - The Enterprise MRS. WM. H. ROSENBAUM DIED TUESDAY JUNE 29

Mrs. William H. Rosenbaum, old and respected citizen of Kennard, died at the home of her son, Ray, on last Tuesday morning shortly after 6 o’clock. She had been ill since May 1st.

Mrs. Rosenbaum was born in Virginia on April 9, 1866 and was thus past 71 years at her death. She was married on October 21, 1886, and soon afterwards they came to Washington county where they have since resided, living until about twenty years ago on a farm near Kennard, and then retiring and making their home in Kennard.

One son, Ray, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Rosenbaum and this son, with the husband and one grandson, are left of the immediate family to mourn their loss. Besides these, two brothers and one sister in Virginia still survive.

Funeral services are to be held at the home of the son this Thursday afternoon with Rev. Arthur Fowler of Winside officiating, and interment will be made in the Kennard cemetery.

MRS. ROSENBAUM, KENNARD, IS DEAD

RESIDENT OF KENNARD FOR NEARLY 50 YEARS DIES AT AGE OF 71

Mrs. W.H. Rosenbaum, 71, resident of Kennard since shortly after her marriage almost 50 years ago, succumbed early Tuesday morning at the home of her son, Ray, at Kennard. She had been ill since Easter. Mr. and Mrs. Rosenbaum had been looking forward to celebrating their golden wedding anniversary October 21, 1937.

Born April 9, 1866 in Virginia, Mrs. Rosenbaum spent her childhood there. She was married October 21, 1887 to Mr. Rosenbaum and they came to Nebraska a short time later, settling at Kennard.

Surviving Mrs. Rosenbaum besides her husband and the son, Ray, are one grandson, at Kennard, and two brothers and a sister residing in Virginia. There are many lesser relatives.

Funeral services are being held at 2 p.m. today at the Ray Rosenbaum home in the Colby district, the Rev. A.E. Fowler of Winside officiating. Interment is to be in Kennard cemetery.
