MRS. MYRTLE M. VLACK PASSSES

Mrs. Myrtle M. Vlack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Short of this city, was born September 19, 1910 in Blair, Nebraska. She departed this life on June 21, 1937 at the Immanuel hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 26 years, 9 months and 2 days.

She was united in marriage to Milton Vlack of Clarkson, Nebraska October 17, 1935, and to them were born two children, Gordon David, one year, and Mary Jean, three weeks old. These, with their father, are left to mourn her going. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Short, three brothers and two sisters as follows: Mrs. John Plumb, Mrs. George Mundorf of Blair; B. F. Short of Omaha; Emory and Edgar of Blair; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, two dying in infancy and one brother, Grover J. Short, at the age of 29 years.

Mrs. Vlack was a member of the First Baptist church at Blair, uniting by baptism on March 20, 1921 and until her going to make her home elsewhere, was a faithful attendant upon the services of the church. She was a member of the Calabean class of the Sunday School and enjoyed the many activities of her class.

She was also a member of Welcome lodge No. 27 of Blair, having passed through the chairs and becoming a past Noble Grand in the order. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 30, at 2:30 at the Baptist church, Rev. Thomas J. Reese, pastor, taking charge of the services. Interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
