VESTA DIXON DIES IN LINCOLN

Vesta Dixon died at her home in Lincoln June 12 after an illness of a week’s duration, the result of a stroke.

Vesta Dixon was born in Blair on July 9, 1883. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Dixon. She attended the Blair schools, and in her early life joined the Christian church where she was active in the work of the church. In 1903 she was married to Chris Carmichael, and after a few years residence in Blair, they moved to Dropmore, Manitoba, Canada. While still residing in Canada, her husband died, and two years later the wife moved to Lincoln.

To Mr. and Mrs. Carmichael two children were born, Bartley of Dropmore, Canada and Verna, Mrs. Lloyd Hodson, of Casper, Wyoming.

Three years ago she married A. C. Reddick of Lincoln, and he with the children and Mrs. Reddick’s mother still survive.

Three sisters, Mrs. Merle Bovee of Rosalie, Nebraska; Mrs. Cleo Conley of Des Moines, Iowa; and Mrs. Ruth Williams of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma also survive and join with the grief-stricken family over their great loss.

Services were held at the Bethany Christian church at 10:30 Tuesday morning, and the body was brought to Blair, her childhood home for interment, with Rev. John B. Williams of Lincoln, who a number of years ago was pastor of the local Christian church in this city, officiating.
