Oscar Hopkins received word this week of the death on Monday, March 29, of his brother-in-law D. O. Shrider, 73, at his home at Glendale, California. Funeral services were held last Saturday at Burbank, California. Survivors are his wife and two sons, Orville and Stanley, all of Glendale. Mr. and Mrs. Shrider were former residents of Blair, having moved from here about forty years ago, going to the west coast where Mr. Shrider was an employee of the Union Pacific railroad until five years ago when he was retired on a pension.
