MRS. MATILDA JACOBS PASSES

Mrs. Matilda Jacobs, who fell one day last week and broke her leg, passed away last Friday in an Omaha hospital where she had been taken the Wednesday prior to her death.

Deceased was born in Effingham county, Illinois on August 14, 1860, and would thus have reached her 77th birthday next August. She was united in marriage to J. W. Jacobs on December 21, 1875, and to them six children were born, Mrs. Jennie Brown of Blair; Roy of Blair; Ray of Chicago; Earl of Omaha; Lester of Blanca, Colorado; and Mrs. E. H. Busse of Albuquerque, New Mexico. All of these, with a number grandchildren, mourn deeply her passing.

The husband passed away two years ago, and since then the mother has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Brown.

The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church with Rev. Howe officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
