HAROLD V. WILSON KILLED AT CASPER WYO.

Harold V. Wilson, son of Mrs. and Mrs. M. V. Wilson of Grant township, met his death May 1, 1937 as the result of an accident which occurred on April 27. He was working at Alcova dam near his hometown of Casper, Wyoming when the accident occurred which resulted in a skull fracture and other injuries.

A native of Herman, he was engaged in farming in this county for a number of years, but went to Casper for the sake of the health of his son, Lyle, now 13 years of age. He was married to Annena Larsen,

also of Herman, who survives him at the home in Casper. Besides his wife and son, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Wilson of Grant township and a sister, Mrs. Grace Fletcher of Valley, Nebraska, and a number of uncles and aunts and cousins.

Burial rites were held in Casper. Deceased was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks which he had recently joined.

Harold will be remembered by a large circle of acquaintances here who knew him as a boy and as a man, and who respected him for his manly bearing and the ideal life which he led.

Just how the accident occurred in which Wilson was injured was not known, although about 40 men were working in the vicinity. There were no eyewitnesses it was reported. Wilson fell from a short runway at the foot of Alcova dam spillway, striking his head and shoulder against a concrete block.

He regained consciousness only briefly at the hospital, and was unable to speak to relatives or friends, though apparently recognizing them.

Harold V. Wilson, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike V. Wilson of the Vacoma neighborhood, was accidentally killed while doing carpenter work.

Deceased lived in Casper, Wyoming. Upon receipt of the news of his death, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson left for Casper. Harold is a native of Washington county.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wilson left Thursday for Casper, Wyoming in response to word from there telling that their son, Harold, had suffered a serious accident while employed at carpenter work. Later news received here told of his death. Burial will be made at Casper. Harold grew to manhood near here, and is well know here. His is survived by his wife, Annena, one son, Lyle, his parents and one sister, Grace, other relatives and many friends.

SPIKER NEWS

Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Wilson left by train last Saturday evening to be at the bedside of their son, Harold Wilson of Casper, Wyoming, who was seriously injured while working on a dam near Casper. He suffered skull fractures, having fallen about 12 feet onto a cement base. He died Sunday evening about 6 o’clock shortly after Mr. and Mrs. Wilson arrived there. Harold and Clinton Smith attended to the farm chores at the Wilson home during their absence.
