JOHN SCHNEIDER’S RITES WEDNESDAY John H. D. Schneider, a native of this county and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schneider, died Sunday evening at 4:20 o’clock.

He had been ill for about six weeks, and about two weeks ago he was taken to the Methodist hospital in Omaha where he died.

At his death he was fifty three years of age. He was born in this county on the Schneider farm one half mile west of the Wranch school, and here he grew to manhood. On April 21, 1915 he was married to Emma Brandt, and to them one daughter, Mrs. George Petersen, was born. She resides in Omaha, and she with her mother and three grandchildren mourn deeply the loss of their husband and father.

All his life he had been a farmer, and when he moved to Blair three years ago he bought an acreage where he busied himself.

In his early life he affiliated with the German Lutheran church, and later with the German Verein.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church with Rev. Sidney L. McCaig officiating, and interment was made in the German cemetery in the southern part of the county.
