CHAS. G. HAMMER DIES SUDDENLY

Charles G. Hammer, for years with the J. D. Garrison Clothing Store, was found dead in bed last Thursday afternoon, September 27th. The opinion of the physician was that he had been dead for two days.

Charles Hammer was born in Harrison County, Iowa, near Modale where he grew to manhood. He came to Blair to work for J. D. Garrison over twenty years ago, and with the exception of about a year spent on the west coast, he has been in Blair constantly.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Masonic Order. He was well liked by those who knew him, and his death came as a shock to the community.

Funeral services were held last Sunday, and interment was made in a cemetery near Modale, Iowa.
