ARLINGTON FARMER VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK

Arthur Hilgendorf, well known farmer residing north of Arlington, died of a heart attack while visiting in Milwaukee. His death occurred last Monday, and the remains will be brought to Arlington Saturday where a short funeral service will be held at the Reckmeyer Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran church with Rev. Carl Hellmann officiating. Interment will be made in St. Paul’s cemetery.

ARTHUR HILGENDORF RITES JUNE 16

Funeral services for Arthur C. Hilgendorf, well known farmer in this vicinity, who died suddenly while visiting with relatives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 11th, were held here at St. Paul’s Lutheran church on June 16th, with the Rev. E. T. Otto of Omaha officiating.

Mr. Hilgendorf was born on October 4, 1870 at Freistadt, Wisconsin, a son of William Hilgendorf and Marie (nee Wilk). He was united in wedlock with Hannah Brinkmann by Rev. J. Hilgendorf, then pastor here in the St. Paul’s Lutheran church, on December 10, 1903. She preceded him in death four years ago. Mr. Hilgendorf had lived on a farm here for a number of years.

Surviving him are one brother, Richard Hilgendorf of Salem, Ohio; two sisters, Lydia Gesswein of LaPorte, Indiana; and Marie Haesemeyer of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased, were Fred Stork, William Schmidt, John Brinkmann, Richard Leirman, Walter Bockhorst and William Vogt.

Out-of-town relatives present at the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hilgendorf of Salem, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haesemeyer of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; and Rev. and Mrs. E. T. Otto of Omaha. The two former couples were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stork until Monday when they returned to their homes; and Rev. and Mrs. Otto also visited at the Stork home following the services on Saturday evening.
