MRS. MARY UNLAND RITES HELD MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Unland, widow of William F. Unland, who passed away on Friday, June 1st, were held on Monday afternoon at the Methodist church, with the services conducted by the Rev. Mr. A. W. Clarke.

Mrs. Unland, as Mary E. Hansen, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen of Washington, was born in Denmark August 17, 1868, and at the age of one year came with her parents to Washington, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Mr. Unland on January 10, 1906 at Omaha, and to this union were born two children, Mrs. Mildred McClellan and a son who died in infancy.

The family had lived here for many years, and her daughter is her only survivor, Mr. Unland having passed away four years ago.

Mrs. Unland accidentally fell at her home in February and broke her hip, and most of the time since then she had been in the Dodge County Hospital until a few weeks ago when she was moved to the Lutheran Home where she died.

At the funeral services Mrs. Otto Renard, soloist, sang “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” with Mrs. Alice Newcom as accompanist.

Pallbearers were Raymond Ludwig, George Schoettger, Arthur Barton, Albert Mansfield, Homer Miller and Erwal Rosenbaum. Interment was made in the Arlington cemetery.
