W. J. HALLER, 18, HONOR PUPIL, DIES

William J. Haller, 18, son of Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin J. Haller, 606 North 27th Avenue, Omaha, died Thursday in a local hospital. He had been ill three weeks with a heart ailment.

A senior at Creighton Prep, young Haller would have graduated last Sunday. He was a member of the baseball and basketball teams and an honor pupil.

Other survivors are: brothers, Lieut. Benjamin in the Army Air Corps in Italy; J. J. in the Navy; the Rev. Thomas R., S. J., St. Louis Missouri; and Joseph, Patrick, Michael and James, all of Omaha; sisters, Mrs. Paul Schmidt of New Orleans, Louisiana; Mrs. R. C. Davidson, Dallas, Texas; Miss Kathryn, Washington; and the Misses Frances, Agnes and Therese, all of Omaha; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Haller, Omaha.

Services were held last Saturday from the residence at 10 a.m., to St. John’s Church 10:30 a.m., with burial in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

The father, Dr. Benjamin Haller, is a native of Blair, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Haller, former resident.
