ROY N. KNOTT BURIED MAY 21ST

Roy Nelson Knott was born on March 19, 1888 in Herman, Nebraska, and died May 18, 1945 in an Omaha hospital after more than a month’s illness.

He was married to Mrs. Sadie Freeman of Fremont by the Fremont County Judge on April 3rd, 1915.

Mr. Knott had resided in Herman all his life. He worked for the Herzog Lumber Co. and Hancock Implement Co. for a number of years, and later went into business for himself as a trucker. He was perhaps one of the most widely known men in this community. He loved children and would go out of his way to do them a favor.

Deceased is survived by his widow; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Harry Jackson of Louisville, Missouri; one stepson, Eugene Freeman of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Floyd Knott and Ervin Knott, both of Omaha; and one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Fiske of Lacoma, Washington, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, May 21st, at the Methodist church in Herman. Rev. A. W. Clarke of Arlington was in charge. L. D. Long, Fred Robertson, Francis Forsberg, and Clair Johnson sang and were accompanied by Mrs. T. R. Swanson at the piano. Burial was in the Herman cemetery.
