Oswald Fuchs

Arlington – Funeral services for Oswald T. Fuchs, 79, of Arlington, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. Mr. Fuchs died Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Fuchs was born April 14, 1910, in Evanston, Ind. He came to Nebraska in 1928 and farmed near Hooper. After his marriage, he lived and farmed north of Arlington until retiring in 1976 and moving to Arlington.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington and the Lutheran Laymen’s League.

He married Leona I. Hagerbaumer Feb. 26, 1939, in Winslow. She survives.

Other survivors include: sons, Gene and Robert, both of Arlington and Roger of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Mrs. Arlyce Nore of Omaha; one brother, Rudy Fuchs of Arlington; sisters, Dorothy Bloemker, his twin sister, of Fremont, Charlotte Stork and Irma Stork both of Arlington; and six grandchildren.

The Rev. Michael L. Rogers will officiate Tuesday’s services. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 1-9 p.m. Sunday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Arlington.

Memorials have been established to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington.
