MRS. R. ROSENBAUM FUNERAL RITES SUN.

Mrs. Ruth A. Rosenbaum passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha on April 11th, 1945 at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 17 days.

As Ruth Ann McCann she was born in Washington County, Virginia October 24th, 1869, the daughter of the late Isaac and Margaret McCann. She came to Nebraska with her parents and two small brothers on March 9th, 1872 at the age of two and one half years. She was married to John Rosenbaum on March 22nd, 1887. They lived on a farm two and one half miles west of Kennard until 1912 when they moved to Kennard.

To Mr. and Mrs. Rosenbaum seven children were born - Jasper, Clyde, Glen, Roscoe and Hazel Wright, all living in or near Kennard; Ethel Brown of Bremerton, Washington; and Blanche Naeve, deceased.

Mrs. Rosenbaum was preceded in death by her husband on March 4th, 1926 and her daughter, Blanche on March 4th, 1936.

Besides her children, she leaves to mourn her passing a brother, H. B. McCann; two sisters,d Mrs. Lydia Demure of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; and Mrs. Della Whorlow of Fremont, Nebraska; nineteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She has two grandsons and six grandsons-in-law in our country’s service.

Mrs. Rosenbaum became a member of the Kennard Methodist church in June, 1915, was a member of the Ladies Aid for many years, and was a charter member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

She was a wonderful mother, always active in her home and in the community.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 15th at two o’clock at the Methodist church with Rev. E. P. Booher officiating. Burial was made in the Kennard cemetery.
