FORMER CONTAIN DIES AT 90 YEARS

Mrs. Martha Slaughter, aunt of LeRoy and Ira Baxter, died on Thursday of last week in her home at Los Angeles, California.

Deceased, as Martha Baxter, was born in Indiana, and with the family settled on a farm northwest of Blair in 1867, and here she grew to womanhood.

She was married to William Slaughter of Tekamah, and after their marriage they moved back to Alexandria, Indiana where they lived for several years.

Some time ago the husband died. She has made her home in Los Angeles for the past thirty years. She was a sister of the late Ed Baxter.

Besides one daughter, she leaves two brothers, T. F. Baxter of Johnstown, Nebraska and Al Baxter of Portland, Oregon and one sister, Mrs. Edna Chesebran of Los Angeles.
