Rudolph H. Fuchs

Rudolph Henry Fuchs, the son of Louis and Sophia (Wittman) Fuchs, was born July 29, 1912, at Evanston, Indiana. He moved to the Hooper, NE area in 1928. He farmed north of Arlington from 1938 until retiring in 1974. He moved into Arlington in 1978.

Rudolph was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington, and was a charter member of the Lutheran Laymen’s League. He served as a member and treasurer of the Bell Creek Drainage District.

Rudolph married Edna Stork on Aug. 25, 1940, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington, NE.

Rudolph passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 29, 1996, at his home, at the age of 84 years and 4 months. He is survived by his wife, Edna; sons & daughters-in-law, Larry and Margaret Fuchs of Arlington & Kenneth and Roxanne Fuchs of Fremont; daughters & sons-in-law, Bonnie and Dick Owston of Fremont, Vernetta and Don Dunlap of Caldwell, Idaho, Doris and John Ray of Golden, Colorado, & Jean Dwyer of Arlington; sisters, Charlotte Stork of Fremont & Irma Stork of Arlington; 11 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Oswald; and sisters, Ella Graulich & Dorothy Bloemker.
