HANS KUHL, 97, DIED WEDNESDAY

Hans Kuhl passed away at the home of his son, Rudolph, at Blair on February 28, 1945.

Deceased was born in Schleswig Holstein, Germany on May 23, 1848, coming to America May, 1865. For a number of years he engaged in farming near Davenport, Iowa where in 1875 he was married to Lena Stoltenberg. Mr. and Mrs. Kuhl came to Douglas County, Nebraska in 1878, first locating one mile east of Bennington. In 1880 they moved to a farm south of Calhoun where they resided until the death of Mrs. Kuhl in 1934.

Survivors include sons Herman, Louis and Paul of Omaha; Theodore and Rudolph of Blair; and William of Sutherland; also daughters, Mrs. Adele Baumer and Mrs. Minnie Klabunde of Omaha; and Mrs. Emma Thompson of Elsie, Nebraska. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian church in Fort Calhoun, Sievers service.
