Landowner And Farmer Grieved Over Cousin’s Sudden Death

Peter M. Tyson, 74 years of age, died this Thursday morning at about 1:30. He had been in poor health for some time and it is thought that the sudden death of his cousin, M. E. Tyson, aggravated his illness and was a factor in his death.

Deceased was born on the Tyson homestead north of Blair where he lived until a few years ago when he and his brother, Watson, moved to Blair. However, he still conducted his farming operations, which were on a large scale. His parents were pioneers, and he saw the development of the county during his life.

Of a family of nine, now only one survives, Mrs. L. D. Warrick. Three of these died in infancy. Deceased never married. Besides the sister, he leaves a number of relatives who will mourn him.

During his life he was noted for his business ability and his fairness in his dealings with his fellow men. He served on the school board in his community and also served the county as county commissioner, both of which positions he served most honorably.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 at the Methodist church, and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
