FORMER BLAIR LIFE GUARD KILLED

In Monday’s World Herald it was revealed that W. H. Dunn had been killed by having his throat cut. The scene of the slaying was behind a North Sixteenth Street tavern.

One Joseph P. Beades, 20 years old, who was out on bond on a robbery charge, is charged with the crime.

Dunn was in Blair several weeks last summer when he acted as assistant lifeguard at the local swimming pool. He disappeared from sight unexpectedly one night, and apparently this is the first that anyone here has heard from him.
