Wolf, Marian “Midge” September 23, 1933 ~ February 3, 2019

Marian E. “Midge” Wolf, 85 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Marian was born September 23, 1933 at Fremont, Nebraska to Hans C. and Selma L. (Janowski) Harms.

She was raised in Fremont and attended Fremont Schools and was a graduate of Fremont High School. She worked at Hammond & Stephens Company in Fremont for a short time and met her husband there. Marian married Fredrick “Lyle” Wolf on December 4, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2009. They moved to Winslow, Nebraska and lived there for nineteen years, moving to Fremont in 1975.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hooper, Nebraska. She was a very good seamstress and made many of the children’s clothes. She loved to cook and bake and made very good chocolate chip cookies.

She is survived by son, Fred Wolf of Wahoo, Nebraska; daughter, Diane (Bob) Essink of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother, Paul (Marilyn) Harms of Fremont; grandchildren, Kerry (Scott), Andy (Maggie) and Becky (Nick) and great grandchildren, Chloe, Rhianna, Caden, Mikhale, Gavin, Tessa, Alivia, Rowan and River.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Joan Ziegler; and brother, Warren Harms.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 8, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at rural Hooper. The Rev. Rodney Meske will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at rural Hooper.

Memorials may be directed to the church for the cemetery fund.
