MRS. D. J. GAMMEL DIED OCTOBER 4TH

Mrs. D. J. Gammel, formerly Miss Grace Van Deusen, died on Wednesday, October 4 at her home at Shelton, Nebr., of a heart ailment. Deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Van Deusen. She was born in Blair July 8, 1881 where she grew to womanhood.

In 1902 she married D. J. Gammel, and they lived for a time in Blair and at Creston, Nebr., and several years in Omaha before moving to Shelton in June of 1941.

Besides her husband she leaves three sons and one daughter: Lloyd of San Jose, Calif.; Pvt. M. D. Gammel, formerly in the insurance business at Omaha and now in the U.S. army at Camp Barkeley, Texas; Harold Eugene of Long Beach, California and Mrs. Leona Frazier at home.

Deceased is a sister of the late Don C. and C. C. Van Deusen and of H. G. how residing in Blair.

Interment was made in the Blair cemetery on Sunday, October 8th.
