H. WALKENHORST DIED ON MONDAY

Henry W. Walkenhorst, 62, of Arlington died unexpectedly Monday at the Henry Moeller home near Hooper, just a few weeks after the death of a daughter, Henrietta Ann, 21, on August 27 in Sioux City.

The body lay in state at the Fred Bader Funeral Home in Fremont until 4 p.m. Wednesday. The funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington, preceded by a prayer service at the Lawrence Walkenhorst home at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Victor W. Hoffmann of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont will officiate, and burial will be in the St. Paul’s cemetery near Arlington.

Mr. Walkenhorst was born January 13, 1882 at Arlington. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church by Rev. John Hilgendorf.

On February 26, 1902 he was married to Anna Stork of Arlington, and they became the parents of six children. His wife preceded him in death October 24, 1923.

Mr. Walkenhorst was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Surviving are his children: Mrs. Alfred Scheer, Lawrence, and Mrs. Leo Schmidt, all of Arlington; and Alvin of Waco; also two sisters and seven brothers.
