FUNERAL RITES FOR OTTO MASTICK MON.

ARLINGTON - Funeral services for Otto J. Mastick, who passed away on August 25th, were held on Monday at the Congregational church with the Rev. A. J. Edgar of Lincoln officiating. Mr. Mastick had been in failing health for some time, and his condition had been critical for the past two weeks.

Deceased was born on July 7th, 1886, and came to Arlington in 1902, and with the exception of a short time in Fremont had lived here since that time.

He was married to Grace Hammang of Arlington on October 20, 1908, and to this union were born eight children - one son and seven daughters, four of whom have preceded their father in death.

For a number of years Mr. Mastick had been an auto salesman, and prior to that he had operated the C.&N.W. pumping station. The funeral services were largely attended and there were many lovely flowers. Mrs. Alvin Anderson and Miss Lucy Lawson sang “Ivory Palaces” and “God Be With You Till We Meet Again”, with Mrs. Alice Newcom as their accompanist. Pallbearers were Leo Weber, A. A. Halhback, Raymond Ludwig, Leslie French, F. E. Dolan and Arthur Springgate.

Burial was made in the Arlington cemetery.

Besides his wife, Mr. Mastick is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Gordon Janing of Omaha, Mrs. Kenneth Holmes of Blair, and Misses Merle and Marjorie Mastick of Omaha and two grandsons.
