MRS. HARRY SMITH RITES HELD MONDAY

Death came to Mrs. Harry Smith last Friday, August 18, after years of poor health and suffering.

Deceased was born in Pennsylvania April 11, 1882, and at the age of 12 years the family came to Blair where she has since made her home. She was married to Harry J. Smith on March 27, 1901, and to them three children were born - James Earl of Omaha, Floyd Harry and Dorothy, both of Blair - all of whom, with the husband, survive and feel deeply their great loss.

Besides the husband and children, her mother, Mrs. Nancy Sylvis of Omaha survives, as does also two sisters, Mrs. Laura King of Omaha and Mrs. Henry Borcherding of Fremont, and two brothers, John Sylvis of Omaha and Charles of White Owl, South Dakota and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was a woman deeply devoted to her family, and during her long period of suffering was always cheerful and made herself as helpful as possible.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. John P. Brooks of the local Methodist Church officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
