ARLINGTON - Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Toms, who died at her home on June 12, were held on Thursday afternoon at two o’clock at the Congregational church with the Rev. H. C. Van Valkenburgh officiating.

Mrs. Toms came here with Rev. Toms in September when he accepted the pastorate of the Congregational Church, and had lived in a number of towns in Nebraska where Rev. Toms preached. She had been an invalid for the past eighteen years.

Pallbearers were Chet G. marshall, Leonard Wulf, John Hammang, William Bisbee, Dr. D. M. Bloch and Dr. P. L. Cady.

Survivors are the husband, one son, C. Howard Toms of Ogallala, and three grandchildren.

On account of the flood conditions the son was unable to be present for the funeral, and on Monday, Rev. Toms left for Ogallala for around ten days.
