MRS. HELENA JESSEN RITES TUESDAY

Mrs. Helena Jessen, 77 years of age, was taken to the Methodist Hospital in Omaha on Tuesday of last week suffering from an aggravated case of gallbladder trouble. She died Saturday, May 20th.

Deceased was born in Posen, Poland June 15, 1866 and had she lived until June 14, 1944, she would have been seventy eight years of age.

She came to America in 1886, and after residing for a time in Quincy, Illinois, came to Omaha. In 1888 she was married to Nicholas Jessen, and they came to a farm west of Blair where they resided until 1915 when they retired and moved to Blair.

One child, John, was born to them. He is now married and resides in Omaha and has a son, Russell. The husband died a number of years ago, but Mrs. Jessen continued to make her home in Blair, and the son has done everything possible to make her life pleasant.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Campbell Mortuary, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery beside the husband who had gone before.
