HERMAN HILGENKAMP FUNERAL RITES TUESDAY

ARLINGTON - Funeral services for Herman Hilgenkamp, prominent farmer of the Arlington vicinity, were held on Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mr. Carl Hellmann officiating.

Mr. Hilgenkamp died on Saturday morning at the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont following an illness of only a few days’ duration, the cause of his death being thrombosis.

Born on a farm near here on November 29, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hilgenkamp. He was married to Ida Scheer on February 2, 1906, who preceded him in death on March 29, 1924.

Deceased is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Martin Kruger, Mrs. Emil Dunklau, Mrs. Donald Schmidt and Mrs. Edgar Grefe, all of Arlington; and six grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Henry of Arlington; three half brothers, Evi of Nickerson, Albert of Washington and Martin of Arlington; and six half sisters, Mrs. Simon Gnuse of Arlington, Mrs. Ed Scheer of Nickerson, Mrs. Mary Lentz of Forsyth, Montana and Misses Ida, Frieda and Elsie of Fremont.

Pallbearers were his nephews, Harry Giesselman, Virgil Hilgenkamp, Otis Scheer, Edgar Sperling, Harvey Stork and Raymond Stork.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of William Reckmeyer & Son, and burial was made in St. Paul’s cemetery.
