MRS. CRHIS LARSEN DIES, NEARLY 89 YRS.

Mrs. Chris Larsen, another early settler, died Monday morning, March 27th. Had she lived until next November 15th she would have been 89 years of age.

Deceased was born in Bergen, Norway, and in 1866 came to Wisconsin where for a time the family resided. On July 19, 1883, she married Chris Larsen and they took up farming just north of the Orum store, and here they reared a family of four children.

The husband, who in his early life was a landscape gardener, through his industry made their home a beautiful spot and the kindly, friendly disposition of the two brought many friends to them.

The husband died in 1941, and the wife with those children still at home, remained in the old home. The children living are: Mrs Kirsten Hansen, Martin, Hannah and Louise. Also surviving are two grandchildren and a great grandson and one brother, Joe Iverson of Lincoln and a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Paul’s Church, Orum, with Rev. G. A. Carlson officiating, and interment under the direction of C. K. Bendorf was made in the Orum cemetery.
