Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun for Veronica H. Fuhrman, 81, who died Jan. 18, 1997, at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Veronica H. Fuhrman was born Feb. 16, 1915, in Omaha to John and Helen Sczepaniak. She grew up in Omaha and graduated from Tech High School.

She married Otto Fuhrman Sept. 6, 1948, in Omaha.

A homemaker, she was very active in church activities at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, of which she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto, on Sept. 3, 1990, and her parents.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Carol Fuhrman; Carl and Connie Fuhrman and Mary Fuhrman, all of Fort Calhoun; six grandchildren, Wendy, Ben, Stephanie, Kimberly, Zachary and Chelsey; three great-grandchildren; one brother, George Sczepaniak of Chula Vista, Calif. and three sisters, Mary Borowiak, Helen Cizslik and Katherine Novak, all of Omaha.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.
