FORMER BLAIR MERCHANT DIES

Robert Smock of St. Ignatius, Montana passed away Monday of this week of heart trouble. Deceased will be remembered by the Blair residents of forty years ago as the proprietor of a shoe store in the building now occupied by the J. D. Garrison Clothing Store.

While in business here he met and married Miss Nora Carrigan, a sister of the late Judge Burke Carrigan. After their marriage, he sold his business and moved to St. Ignatius, Montana, located in the northwestern part of the state, where they took a homestead, and where they have since resided.

Mr. Smock was known for his honesty in business and his pleasant personality. He had been in poor health for some time. He leaves to mourn him his wife, one daughter and three granddaughters.

Funeral services are to be held today at St. Ignatius.
